ABOUT NORA ANN'S BOUTIQUE

At Nora Ann’s Boutique, we believe shopping should be about more than finding the perfect outfit—it should leave you feeling encouraged, valued, and welcomed.

Located in the heart of downtown Paintsville, Kentucky, Nora Ann’s Boutique offers thoughtfully curated women’s clothing, accessories, gifts, and home décor with a timeless, classic style. Whether you’re shopping for work, church, a special occasion, or everyday life, we’re here to help you find pieces that make you feel confident and beautiful.

Nora Ann’s Boutique was named in honor of two incredible women who shaped my life—my grandmother, Nora Arnett Allen, and my mother, Barbara Ann Green. Their faith, kindness, strength, and servant hearts continue to inspire everything we do.

Our mission is simple: to create a place where every customer feels like family.

We also believe in investing in the next generation. Nora Ann’s Boutique proudly mentors local students each week by providing hands-on workplace experiences and practical life skills in a real boutique setting. Through customer service, teamwork, communication, and responsibility, students gain valuable experience while building confidence for their future.

More than anything, we hope every person who walks through our doors leaves feeling seen, appreciated, and encouraged.

MEET THE OWNER

Hello! I’m Misty Green, owner of Nora Ann’s Boutique.

I was born and raised in Salyersville, Kentucky, and after 30 years in education, God opened the door to a new calling.

Throughout my career, I was blessed to serve as a Home Economics teacher, librarian, Technology Resource Teacher, Computer Science teacher, Response to Intervention teacher, behavior therapist working with students with autism, and later with the Kentucky Department of Education in the Office of Special Education and Early Learning.

My love for fashion began years ago because of one special high school Home Economics teacher who believed in me. While I was in college, one of my professors invited me to attend the Atlanta Apparel Market, where I discovered the excitement of the fashion industry. Although life led me into education, that dream quietly remained in my heart for many years.

After retiring from education in 2025, God didn’t end my story—He simply changed my classroom.

Today, Nora Ann’s Boutique allows me to continue doing what I’ve always loved: encouraging others, building relationships, mentoring young people, and serving my community. Every customer matters. Every conversation is meaningful. Every visit is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day.

My Christian faith is the foundation of this business. I pray Nora Ann’s Boutique will always be a place where kindness is freely given, people feel genuinely welcomed, and God’s love shines through everything we do.

Thank you for supporting our dream, our family, and our community. We are honored to be a small part of your story and look forward to welcoming you to Nora Ann’s Boutique.
